I am Jane Schapka, a professional genealogist and historical researcher in Muskegon County, Michigan specializing in Western Michigan, Muskegon County and surrounding areas, Dutch (Netherlands), and beyond. What sets me apart is that I search original documents, not solely internet sources, which is essential to solving puzzling family histories.

I find missing ancestors, prove relationships, sort out confusing ancestral families, give talks (with slides and available handouts), and offer by-the-minute consultations concerning family history.
